In celebration of Earth Day and to inspire the community to help keep Newburgh clean and green, Safe Harbors of the Hudson and many local organizations will hold the eighth annual Newburgh Community Cleanup Saturday, April 21 (rain or shine). This is an opportunity for community members, young and old, to be a part of what’s great in the City of Newburgh. Registration for the cleanup will begin at 8 a.m. Teams will hit the streets at 9 a.m. and gather back at 12 p.m. at Safe Harbors for a post-cleanup barbecue.

Add a special meaning to the holiday this year by hand-making your own shamash candles. Jayme Cooper will show us the art and ritual to making candles.
Before lighting the Chanukah candles, a preliminary candle is lit. The Shamash (servant) candle is used to light all the others on the Chanukah menorah.
Saint George Bistro and Seasons on the Hudson present an elegant afternoon high tea.
Join us for tea in the Wine Attic, a private event space at Saint George. The menu will include tea sandwiches, canapés, and dessert served on fine china. Guests will take home a lovely individual arrangement by Seasons on the Hudson.
