The Triumphant Return of Vinny the Coupon Guy

Less than two weeks from now it's spring.  Trust me, I know you have a project or two. Everyone always has something they need to fix or change because it has been the same for the past 40 years. So what better time than now to get on it?!

I got to thinking about a possible deal for HHV readers. I'm always looking for something from Lowe's. It's a colorful, and friendly store filled with helpful items. Perhaps you are a Home Depot person. No hate! It's just that for me, Lowe's is closer. So my deal with them will be on a pricey purchase. Something large and important to the conversation of food. Yup, a fridge! Check it out -- I can help you save a few hundred dollars.

First, get a Lowe's Credit card for 5% savings (or another credit card that offers similar benefits).

Second, enjoy refrigerators on sale (10% off a purchase of $399 or more).

Third (where applicable) enjoy a military discount. To qualify for the Everyday 10% Military Discount, you must:

Be currently serving in, or retired from, a qualifying branch of the Armed Services, or be the immediate family member of someone who is and have a valid military ID Card.

Or:

Be a veteran who receives VA benefits and have a valid Veteran Identification Card (VIC).

1  Armed Services — US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, or the National Guard and who are in     active, reserve, or retired status.
2  Retired Veterans and VA Recipients — Veterans who have retired after 20 years of service and/or those who receive VA Benefits
3  Immediate Family — Spouses and/or dependent children (up to 18 years old.)

Fourth, pay your bill on time and save about $250 for every $1000 you spend.

A new refrigerator for $810 [1.08 (Ulster County) ] = $874.8 with tax. After Chenzocouponing, the cost is $810(1.08)(.95)(.9)(.9)=$673.16 after tax and all discounts.
About $200 off the total sale price or a savings 23%.
