Fall Scholarship Announcement For Dutchess County Students

The Chamber Foundation, Inc., the non-profit educational organization of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, is soliciting applications for a pair of scholarships beginning September 1.  Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit their candidacy for either the ATHENA Adult Scholarship or the Cosimo DiBrizzi Memorial Scholarship by visiting ChamberFDN.org and selecting the appropriate offering under the ‘Scholarship’ menu.  Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley will be collecting all applications with a simple registration required before anything can be submitted.  Complete information is available at ChamberFDN.org.

Established by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce to encourage increased leadership roles for women in our community, the ATHENA Adult Scholarship is available to any female who lives, works or volunteers in Dutchess County, has been out of high school for at least 5 years, and is pursuing education at an accredited Mid-Hudson Valley college, university or trade school or through an accredited online educational program while maintaining residency in Dutchess County.  (Mid-Hudson is defined as Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange and Ulster counties).

The family of Cosimo DiBrizzi and the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce established the Cosimo DiBrizzi Memorial Scholarship to honor his memory.  This award is available to any resident of the Mid-Hudson Valley who is pursuing a career at the Culinary Institute of America.  Both available scholarships are one-time awards and not renewable.
