Can You be Happy for 100 Days?

Be happy! Can you? I think you should try. Happiness introduced in small doses - kind of like what we do here on HHV- is within reach. It was for Dmitry Golubnichy. The 27-year-old from Switzerland posed the challenge after realizing he, himself, could use a happiness boost! If you are the kind of person who reacts with adoration to inspirational videos and uplifting facebook photos and happy news, then this challenge is for you. And, if you know someone who could use a little bit of happiness in their life this challenge is for them, too.  People everywhere are answering the call. Recognize your happy moment once a day for 100 days.

As with any challenge there are a few rules: no trying to please, or bragging. This movement is about simple,  honest, happy moments. The ones that turn pouts into pretty smiles or have you skipping in your sneakers. Once you’ve hit the 100 goal you’ll receive a happy book containing all your snaps.

So stop. Snap and appreciate the moment we’re in. That’s all.

According to 100happydays.com if you do this you may or may not:

 - Start noticing what makes you happy every day;
 - Be in a better mood every day;
 - Start receiving more compliments from other people;
 - Realize how lucky you are to have the life they have;
 - Become more optimistic;
 - Fall in love during the challenge.

People taking the challenge have reported those results. I guess what I'm saying is.. what do we have to lose by trying? It's not my idea. But, people are making it happen and I was intrigued. You don't have time for this. Right? That's what the website asks. Well, yes and no. The real story is -- if you want to seize the day in a small and enhanceable way - this is your avenue.

If you want MORE happiness just remember that changing your habit no matter what your goals takes time. It needs to be practiced. Everyone I know can benefit from that strategy. This is a great way to get your start: get support from friends in your social network and also join the challenge across social platforms. #100happydays
