The Newburgh Illuminated Festival will be held noon to 10pm on Saturday, June 18th on Broadway and Liberty St in Newburgh.

The FREE family-friendly festival, which attracted over 4,000 visitors last year, promises to be bigger and better than ever.

This year, thousands of visitors are expected to attend and enjoy the many musicians, street performers, activities, color celebration, vendors and much, much more!

Over 100 Hudson Valley vendors and food purveyors will be on hand, showcasing the best of Newburgh as well as surrounding Hudson Valley communities. Sample Indian, Mexican, Ecuadorian, American Soul, Asian and other tasty treats. Shop for handmade goods and gifts and learn more about some of the great organizations who will be on hand at vendor booths.

The music is better than ever, with 40 plus artists performing including Corey Glover, of Living Colour, as the headliner. Tasty jazz, folk, rap, metal and funk will be live on 4 separate stages throughout the day! Festivalgoers can enjoy the outdoors while listening to crowd pleasers like Decora, the Funk Junkies, Ultraam and Juanita Y su Combo. Or relax and groove to a full day of music on the indoor stage with a beer or two at everyone’s favorite hangout, the Wherehouse!

The festival will also shine the spotlight on a festival favorite, the Color Celebration!--with kirtan, yoga demonstrations and the ever-popular color throws, delighting old and young alike. Also be sure to check out the popup art shows, hoop dance demonstrations, independent short videos, book signings by local authors, children’s activities and wandering street magicians.
