Drum Boogie Festival Returns to Woodstock, NY - Sept. 9th
DRUM BOOGIE FESTIVAL® 2017
A FREE WORLD-CLASS MUSIC FESTIVAL WITH DANCE and VOICE
Andy Lee Field on Rock City Road WOODSTOCK, NY
Saturday, Sept. 9th, 2017
1:00am – 8:00pm
The Drum Boogie Festival®, produced by the Woodstock Chimes Fund, the charitable arm of Woodstock Chimes®, is spear-headed by Grammy Award winner Garry Kvistad, founder/owner of Woodstock Chimes and Executive Director of the Drum Boogie Festival. Through this FREE, one-day, family–oriented multi-cultural arts and educational event, they hope to promote an exchange of world culture through the diversity of rhythm, dance and song that is offered and celebrated during the festival.
Renowned musicians perform side-by-side with local professional artists on two stages to facilitate quick changes between performances. This year’s lineup includes musicians such as Jack DeJohnette, NEXUS, The Big Takeover, the North/South Indian Music Project, Beatbox House, NYU Steel Band, African Drummers, Dancers and more!
You don’t have to love Drums to LOVE DRUM BOOGIE. This FREE festival has a variety of food trucks on site to serve your hunger needs. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and stay for the day.
The 2017 Drum Boogie Festival supports Family of Woodstock and the Hudson Valley shelter programs.
The Drum Boogie is made possible by the generosity of the Woodstock Chimes Fund, Bread Alone and Assemblyperson Kevin Cahill.
