Area is buzzing with a variety of events for a romantic outing

KINGSTON, N.Y. (Feb. 6, 2013) — Ulster County Tourism Director Richard J. Remsnyder would like to share the variety of opportunities in the area for couples to enjoy this Valentine’s Day. With its beautiful wintertime vistas, romantic holiday events and vibrant nightlife, Ulster County is the perfect destination for a couple’s retreat. Each Valentine’s Day, the area is awash in romantic opportunities for a special night or weekend out, and this year will be no different.

“Nestled in scenic forests stretching from the Hudson River Valley to the Catskill Mountains, Ulster County has become a prime destination throughout the year, although the winter months bring a particular beauty to the region,” said County Executive Mike Hein. “Our varied accommodations offer guests picturesque views of natural scenery, events and activities just for couples, and many of our resorts boast luxurious accommodations. Add in the fact that Ulster County is home to a variety of local wineries and confectioners, and it’s easy to see how the area is the perfect setting for an unforgettable Valentine’s Day.”
