Jean Elie's story is being brought to your attention by a local family with ties to Haiti. It is the story of a four-year-old boy in Haiti who would sacrifice his school snacks and bring them home to share with his family. Sadly the young boy did not survive due to his own malnutrition. If you can not attend the kick-off consider making a small donation to this great cause. They are asking participants to skip a single meal and donate the funds in order to serve people in need in Haiti and honor Jean Elie.
