Local Theater Company Uses Star Power to Help Raise Funds for Sprinkler System
Just Off Broadway is what's hot in community theater. How hot? you ask...so hot they have to install a sprinkler system. Well that's half true. The company is raising money for a sprinkler system, but only so that they can continue using their performance space at St. Joseph's School in New Windsor. How do they plan to do this? Glad you asked! They have planned a star-studded afternoon where you - yes, you - will be their honored guest. Mingle at the casual late afternoon cocktail party - the social event will feature a variety of tease performances centered around the 2012 performance season and also a sampling of delicious food and cocktails* (for guests 21+)..come quite literally "Taste the Season". If you go you can expect French Cuisine from the Phantom of the Opera table, "Pirate Food" at Pirates of Penzance, Viennese delicacies from The Sound of Music, a delicious spread of sweets at the Seussical the Musical table, Cuban/American comfort food served by A Few Good Men, and traditional Holiday goodies from It’s A Wonderful Life.

The theater company has been operating out of the Newburgh, NY area since 1986 (formerly Heritage Entertainment out of Mandel's Grand St. Theatre). The non-profit is being headed by the winning theatrical team of Joyce Presutti and Ed Romanoff and is dressed up in style by a well-suited board of trustees. The company altogether rests in the very capable hands of a knowledgeable advisory board and is being buzzed about thanks to an organically growing collection of sincerely talented performers.
Featured Youth Ensemble Members Brooke, Jeremy and Amelia
The sprinkler system—a $75,000 undertaking—must be installed so that the show can go on. Without it, the company will not be able to continue using the space at St. Joseph's school.
