Spring Valley 'Voice' Finalist Jermaine Paul Needs Your Vote

Spring Valley's very own Jermaine Paul is a top-four finalist on NBC's singing competition 'The Voice'. The show brings four of music's biggest stars Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine into a blind audition to pick performers based solely on the sound of their voice. Performers are then able to choose their coach based on which of the super stars showed interest in them.

Jermaine Paul—now competing for the Grand Prize recording contract—has enriched the Hudson Valley with his talents having performed and led performances directing the choir at the First United Methodist Church in Newburgh, working with the Allegro Youth Orchestra of Orange County, and most recently - singing from the rooftop at one of Newburgh's favorite restaurants....Where..(hint)..? remains a secret to those who weren't there. Since then, millions of Americans have taken notice - voting him through rounds of elimination since the show aired in February.

Jermaine Paul does Alicia Keys' "How Come You Don't Call Me" Onward and upward for the undeniably talented Paul who's brushes with stardom are stacked with big names like Alicia Keys, BlackStreet and Mary J. Blige. He enhanced their sound as a back-up singer, even taking a call from Alicia Keys on-air before heading into his 'Voice' audition. He gave a moving rendition of R. Kelly's "I Believe I can Fly" in Monday's final - giving his semi-finalists something to sing for.  Tony Lucca, Chris Mann and Juliet Simms each gave their all, but Jermaine - as his coach Blake Shelton pointed out - was caught up in a moment of inspiration - during his solo performance. Tomorrow, May 8th  night Justin Bieber, Lady Antebellum, Flo Rida and Hall and Oates are scheduled to perform during the finale. (9pm EST)..Find out who wins! Blake Shelton ultimately reigned him in with, "I'd love to be your cooch, I think you're awesome." Paul did some deliberating before choosing him over Cee Lo Green.

This season of the 'Voice' he has taken more than his share of the spotlight center stage.
